How to measure
The most reliable method is to measure a kameez you already own and like the fit of, laid flat, rather than measuring yourself. Compare those numbers to the table above.
- Bust — across the widest point of the chest, doubled.
- Waist — across the narrowest point, doubled.
- Hip — across the widest point below the waist, doubled.
- Length — from the highest point of the shoulder straight down to the hem.
- Sleeve — from the shoulder seam to the cuff.
Unstitched sets
Unstitched three-piece sets ship as cloth, not as a size. A standard set gives roughly 2.5 metres for the kameez, 2.5 metres for the dupatta and 2 metres for the trouser — enough for most sizes up to XL, with the caveat that a long kameez on a taller frame can run short.
Ready-to-wear
Stitched pieces come in XS to XL to the measurements above. They are cut with a relaxed sleeve and a straight body — this is not a fitted silhouette, and sizing up for comfort is rarely necessary.
